
Thiruvananthapuram: The inquiry report on the fire accident at the protocol office in Kerala secretariat will be delayed. Though the first phase of investigation into the secretariat fire was completed, the inquiry report will not be submitted soon. It is learned that the delay to obtain the test results of forensic examination and chemical examinations interrupted the submission of the inquiry report.
The probe team hinted that it will take atleast a month to submit the final inquiry report.
Meanwhile, police reported that nothing unusual was found in the fire accident. It is also examined that no discrepancies were found in the statements of the officials. Police assume that the reasons mentioned by electrical inspectorate department led to the fire accident.
However, the probe team can confirm these findings only after obtaining the test results of the scientific evidence.
Meanwhile, the government ordered a two-level probe into the fire accident.
An expert panel appointed by chief secretary filed the inquiry report into the fire. This report dismissed chances of sabotage over the incident.
