Thiruvananthapuram: The 2026 edition of the Kerala State School Kalolsavam will be held in Thrissur, as decided in a high-level meeting chaired by Education Minister V Sivankutty.

The Kerala School Sports Meet , branded again as the "Sports Olympics," will take place in Thiruvananthapuram, following last year’s Olympic-style format.

The Science Festival has been scheduled for Palakkad, while the Special School Kalolsavam will be held in Malappuram. The TTI and PPTTI Kalolsavam will take place in Wayanad. Meanwhile, Kottayam has been chosen as the venue for the Disha Higher Education Exhibition-Career Conclave.

The Kerala School Sports Meet will be conducted from October 22 to 27, followed by the Special School Kalolsavam from November 27 to 30. The State School Kalolsavam is scheduled from January 7 to 11, 2026.

In the previous edition, the Kalolsavam was hosted in Thiruvananthapuram, where Thrissur emerged as the overall champion.

The Teachers' Day celebration has been rescheduled to September 9 this year, as September 5 coincides with the Thiruvonam holiday. The minister made this announcement as part of the upcoming academic calendar.
