The new 20-coach Vande Bharat Express has reached Kerala from Chennai, set to enhance Mangaluru- Thiruvananthapuram route.

Kannur: The 20-coach Vande Bharat, rolled out from the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai, arrived in Kerala on Tuesday.
The train, handed over to Southern Railway on Monday, left for Kerala after an inspection at the Chennai Basin Bridge and will proceed to Mangaluru via Palakkad.
The Mangaluru–Thiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat (20631/20632), which currently operates with 16 coaches via Alappuzha, will be expanded to 20 coaches. The date of commencement will be announced after an inspection at the Mangaluru depot. With the upgrade, seating capacity will increase from 1,016 to 1,336.
The Thiruvananthapuram–Kasargod Vande Bharat (20634/20633) was expanded from 16 coaches to 20 on January 10.
