Kerala's Plus One, VHSE second allotment announced; students can confirm admission by June 11

Harippad: The second allotment for Kerala Plus One and Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) will be released on Monday. Students who have received allotment can secure admission by joining the allotted schools between 10 am on Tuesday and 5 pm on Wednesday. Students can check the status by clicking the link here.
The first allotment round was conducted on June 2. The second allotment list is based on the remaining seats after the first phase and on provisional admissions. Although the Higher Secondary Department had initially planned the second allotment for Tuesday, it has been brought forward to ensure the admission process concludes on time, giving students enough time for preparation.
In the first allotment for Plus One, a total of 2,49,540 students were included. Among them, 1,21,743 students received permanent admission offers, while 99,526 were granted provisional admission. However, 27,077 students did not take admission despite being allotted seats. This was largely due to applicants opting out of districts they were less interested, and some securing admission through the VHSE route instead.
Due to application errors, the allotments of 1,152 students were cancelled. The remaining 28,229 vacant seats across both categories have now been added to the second allotment list. After the conclusion of the first round, a total of 69,034 seats were left unfilled. A certain percentage of these vacancies has also been included in this second phase.
In the VHSE category, 25,135 students were included in the first allotment round, with 13,926 of them securing admission. The second allotment list, to be published on Monday, features 11,860 candidates. VHSE offers a total of 30,600 merit seats, and around 48,000 applications were received.
The third round of allotments is scheduled for June 16, and classes are expected to commence from June 18.
