Dubai-based millionaire Abdulla Nooruddin recreates 1980s Kerala life in his UAE home, going viral with his nostalgic lifestyle.

Abdulla Nooruddin, a Dubai-based millionaire of Indian origin, is capturing widespread attention for embracing a lifestyle steeped in nostalgia. Originally hailing from Kerala, Nooruddin has transformed his residence in the UAE into a heartfelt tribute to the 1980s era of his homeland.
What sets Nooruddin apart is his meticulous recreation of life as it once was in rural Kerala. Each morning, he begins his day by harvesting fresh fruits and vegetables from his backyard — a ritual reminiscent of his childhood in India. His home, meanwhile, is a visual time capsule. From the vintage armchair in his living room to an old-school table lamp, landline phone, manual typewriter, and an analogue wall clock, every item inside the house evokes memories of a bygone time. Even a 1970s TV aerial mounted on the roof adds to the retro aesthetic.
The architecture of the house, both interior and exterior, draws heavily from traditional Kerala design, making it feel like a living museum in the middle of modern-day Dubai. Complementing the old-world charm of his home is Nooruddin’s enviable fleet of vintage cars. One of the vehicles from his collection was even featured in the hit television series ‘The Vampire Diaries.’
His unique lifestyle recently went viral after he shared a video on Instagram showcasing his daily routine and the nostalgic atmosphere he’s recreated. The clip, steeped in 1980s aesthetics, has garnered over 2 million views.
Social media users were quick to praise his approach to success, with one comment reading, “This should what success look like.”
According to Gulf News, Nooruddin was granted a 10-year UAE residency visa in 2019 by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai — a recognition that reflects his prominence in the region.
