Gandhinagar (Gujarat): A Malayali died in a lift accident in Surat here on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Ranjith Babu (45), a native of Kudamaloor, Kottayam.

He accident happened at the hotel on Ring Road in Surat where Ranjith was staying.

The body is now kept in the mortuary of Smimer Hospital in Surat. The members of Kerala Samajam rushed to the hospital immediately after the accident. Post-mortem and police procedures are being completed, and arrangements are being made to bring the body to Kerala on Saturday.
