Thiruvananthapuram: The final voter list for Kerala’s local body elections has been published on October 25, listing a total of 2,84,46,762 voters. The revised list has been prepared according to polling stations in the newly re-divided wards of local bodies and includes all residents who turned 18 on or before January 1, 2025.
In addition, 2,798 non-resident voters are included. The final list covers 17,337 wards across 941 village panchayats, 3,240 wards in 87 municipalities, and 421 wards in six corporations across 14 districts. The list applies to all local body elections except for the Mattanur Municipality in Kannur.
The voter list is available for public inspection on the State Election Commission’s website, https://www.sec.kerala.gov.in, as well as at local body offices, taluk offices, and village offices.
Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) finalised the list after reviewing applications and objections received until October 14 and holding hearings on the draft list. The draft voter list, published on September 29 for summary revision, had 2,83,12,468 voters, including 1,33,52,961 males, 1,49,59,236 females, and 271 transgenders, with 2,087 non-resident voters.
