Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala government has instructed local self-government institutions to take action against individuals and organisations that erect boards, flexes, banners, festoons and flags without seeking prior permission. Licences of the advertisement agencies that do not adhere to the specified rules will be cancelled with immediate effect.
The high court has instructed the state government to act upon the suggestions of the amicus curiae appointed to look into the matter. The government in turn, passed the instructions to the local institutions.
