The court observed that the appointments made by the Governor, in his capacity as Chancellor, were "wrong"

Thiruvananthapuram: In a setback to Kerala Governor, the High Court has rejected his appeal challenging a single bench verdict that had declared the temporary appointment of Vice Chancellors (VCs) at Digital University and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University as legally untenable.
The court observed that the appointments made by the Governor, in his capacity as Chancellor, were "wrong" and reiterated that any such temporary appointments must be regularised within six months. The ruling affirms that the selection process must adhere strictly to legal and procedural norms.
