Kochi: In an update to the Kerala High Court bribery case involving advocate Saiby Jose Kidangoor, accused of receiving money from clients in the name of bribing judges, the state government informed the court that the police will file a final report on the case next month.

The government stated the matter while the court was considering a petition filed by Saiby Jose Kidangoor seeking to quash the case against him.

The allegations against Saiby Jose came to light after a high court advocate, in a Facebook post, detailed alleged unholy practices ongoing among certain advocates in the state.

Later, the court intervened and directed its vigilance wing to conduct an inquiry into the allegations levelled against Saiby, who allegedly accepted large sums of money from clients, including filmmakers, in the name of paying bribes to judges.
