Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has so far shelled out Rs 75 lakhs in the form of fee for senior advocate Kapil Sibal, for fighting the case against the central government in the Supreme Court. The state and the centre have been at loggerheads over the latter’s reluctance to sanction loans to Kerala.

The fee is being paid for appearing in the court on January 12 and 25, for conducting six conferences in connection with the case between September 23, 2023 to January 23, 2024 and also for the legal advice given in October last year.
