Thiruvananthapuram: The Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department has issued guidelines to the head of various departments over the government’s decision not to use the word ‘humbly’ in the application letters submitted to the various government offices. 

The government, quasi government and public sector enterprises have to remove the phrase ‘humbly requesting’ from the applications. 

The order suggested using only ‘request’ in such applications.
