Thiruvananthapuram: The Cyber Crimes Wing of the Kerala Police is creating a new artificial intelligence-powered application designed to combat cyber fraud. This digital system will allow users to input any bank account numbers or email addresses and receive a trust score indicating the potential risk associated with those details.

The trust score will help users decide whether to proceed with or avoid financial transactions. According to officials, the app is being developed under the supervision of the Cyber Police, with the aim of launching it by the end of the current month.

The artificial intelligence model analyses data such as phone numbers, email addresses, content of emails, bank account numbers, and even social media profiles provided by users. Based on the analysis, it generates a trust score categorised as reliable, suspicious, or fraudulent.

To determine this rating, the app will cross-reference the details entered with information from the Cyber Police database and central verification systems. It will check whether the submitted phone numbers or bank account numbers are fake or have been previously linked to cyber fraud cases.
