Thiruvananthapuram: In an eco-friendly move, 10,000 government offices will switch to green protocol soon. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will make an official announcement regarding this on January 26.
The green protocol will be implemented in the offices as per the guidelines. A committee appointed by Haritha Keralam mission is carrying out the inspections regarding this at local self-government institutions.
As per the standards of the green protocol, offices will be classified into three as A, B and C. Directions related to the green protocol to be followed by staff and visitors at the offices will be displayed.
Use of plastic and thermocol will be avoided and the quantity of waste will be reduced. Organic and inorganic waste will be disposed of scientifically in the offices under the green protocol.
Minister AC Moideen will attend the online ceremony on January 26.
