Thiruvananthapuram: As part of the cleaning drive in all polling booths, garbage bins will be set up in every polling booths in the district. This was decided in a meeting convened under the leadership of development commissioner Vinay Goyal to ensure green protocol during election.

Suchitwa Mission, Haritha Keralam Mission, health department and local self-governing bodies will jointly manage the cleaning drive. The biomedical waste will be processed at Image Centre with the help of Green Action Force and the remaining waste will be taken to the Material Collection Facility (MCF).

Haritha Keralam Mission district coordinator D Humayun, Suchitwa Kerala Mission district coordinator A Faisy, panchayat deputy director Thressiamma Antony and health department officials attended the meeting held at collectorate.
