Thiruvananthapuram: The full-fledged budget session of Kerala assembly would likely be convened from June 10 to pass the budget presented in February for the year 2024-25.

The Legislature Secretariat has proposed holding an assembly session in a structured manner until the end of July. The state cabinet will take a final decision on the matter.

The Lok Kerala Sabha will be held at the Sankaranarayanan Thampi Hall from June 13 to 15. The Chief Minister, Ministers, and MLAs will participate in the event. As a result, the assembly will have to be adjourned for a brief period between June 13 and June 15.

A total of 13 days are required for the discussions on the Finance Bill and three days for the allocation of funds and passing of the Finance Bill. If other bills are also considered, it is assumed that the Assembly will meet for 22 days.

Meanwhile, the Rajya Sabha election will also be held in June. The tenure of leaders like Binoy Viswam, Elamaram Kareem, and Jose K. Mani as Rajya Sabha MPs will end in July.
