Thrissur: In an indication that the ED might tighten its noose on Kerala also with the general elections round the corner, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan met the CPM leaders accused in the Karuvannur Bank scam case here on Friday. 

He held talks with Kunnamkulam MLA A C Moideen, party district secretary M M Varghese, party State committee member and Kerala Bank vice chairman M K Kannan at CPM district committee office. The meeting lasted for half an hour. CPM leader P K Biju was also present at the committee office for the meeting. 

It is learnt that the Chief Minister has given instructions to the leaders to be prepared to face any situation related to the case involving offences registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act . The meeting was held on short notice. The Chief Minister did not have any other programs scheduled in the district on the day.
