Karipur (Kozhikode): Foreign airlines are taking hold of the flight services from Kozhikode airport to Dammam and Ras Al-Khaimah which were cut by Air India. Dammam service is taken over by SalamAir whereas Abu Dhabi - Ras Al-Khaimah - Kozhikode service is handled by Air Arabia.
Air Arabia’s triweekly Ras Al-Khaimah - Kozhikode service will be expanded to 5 flights per week from March 31. The services will be conducted on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Air India had shifted to Kannur the three services on this route. Air Arabia is trying to take advantage of this opportunity.
From April 19, the service on Abu Dhabi - Kozhikode route will be expanded from 16 services per week to 17 services. There will be three services per day on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Number of Salam Air services and timings will be announced soon. They have decided to expand services from April 15. Air India Express has reduced its six weekly services from Calicut to Muscat to five. SalamAir expanded their services following this.
