Kozhikode: Koduvally MLA Karat Razak stated that he would contest from his sitting constituency again as an independent candidate supported by LDF.

Karat Razak had given UDF a shock treatment during the last Assembly polls. In 2016, Karat Razak, contesting as an independent candidate supported by LDF, conquered the Muslim League stronghold of Koduvally.

"I am very confident that I can win in Koduvally this time no matter who my opponent is," said Karat Razak.

People connected to LDF told me to contest the Assembly polls. If that is the case, I have to seek a lot of support and I am communicating with people for that. If the LDF offers support, I would like to contest the polls once again, said Karat Razak.

Responding to reports that M. K. Muneer would contest from Koduvally, Karat Razak said that contesting polls will not be a walk in the park.

"When I contested from Koduvally last time, I had no development activities to point out. But things have changed. I have undertaken many development activities in various areas of Koduvally constituency. So, I am not afraid of old candidates from Muslim League constesting against me," said Karat Razak.
