Management yet to accept resignations
It is being reported that the college management has not, at present, accepted the resignation letters submitted by the staff members.
Further procedural clarity on the matter is still awaited, with no confirmation yet on whether the resignations will be formally processed.
Protests continue after student death and allegations
The resignations come in the backdrop of continuing protests at the college over the death of a former student, Nithin Raj. Demonstrations have been ongoing on the campus for the past several days.
Students have raised serious allegations against certain teachers and staff members through social media and other platforms, linking them to responsibility for Nithin Raj’s death.
Following these developments and continuing protests, the entire department staff has collectively submitted their resignations.
It is said that the resignations are a protest against what is described as collective targeting faced by staff from students over the alleged incident. Some also point to dissatisfaction with how the management is dealing with the matter.
