Thiruvananthapuram: The youth leaders of Congress party have attacked BJP state president K. Surendran through online trolls. Surendran had earlier criticized the opposition party for not aligning with the state government in the fight against COVID-19.

Surendran had said that criticizing the government merely for the sake of it is not a healthy practise. He also added that the state government is taking appreciable actions in fighting the pandemic and that they are utilizing the state machinery in an effective manner.

It was against this statement by the BJP president that Congress leaders such as P. C. VIshnunath, T. Siddique and Jyothikumar Chamakkala made their remarks. All three of them took to social media to criticize the BJP state chief.

P. C. Vishnunadh asked since when did K. Surendran be a part of the government to say that opposition should not criticize it unnecessarily.

T. Siddique lashed out against the BJP state president for making a u-turn from his previous criticisms of the state government and the Chief Minister.  He also claimed that the hidden nexus which was hidden all this while has now been exposed and that without the help of Pinarayi Vijayan government, BJP cannot save itself in Kerala.

Jyothikumar Chamakkala

Jyothikumar Chamakkala posted on Facebook that Pinarayi Vijayan should be appreciated for making K. Surendran do his PR work for him. Earlier Surendran had said that Pinarayi Vijayan is not doing anything but PR work to tackle COVID-19. He also added that it was the Kerala CM who helped K. Surendran secure his position as the BJP state president despite facing strong competitions from M. T. Ramesh, Sreedharan Pillai and Sobha Surendran.
