Justice S Sankarasubban

Kochi: Former Kerala High Court Judge S. Sankarasubban passed away at the age of 79 due to a heart attack while on a trip with his family in Shimla.

S Sankarasubban was born as son of TS Shankar and Ponnammal on May 23, 1944. He was a junior of former advocate general S Narayanan Potti. He was adept in civil cases during his career and had worked as a lawyer for KSRTC, Indian Overseas Bank and for many other institutions. Later he served as the Kerala High Court judge from January 17, 1996 to May 22, 2006.

He was residing in Flat No: 4093 in Sobha Sapphire, Thrissur. Wife: Late Rajalakshmi, children: S Shankar Rajesh, and Adv Mahesh Sahasranaman. His grandfather Shankara Subbayyar was the Divan in Travancore between 1892 and 1898.

His mortal remains were brought to Cochin airport on Sunday morning and will be kept at Judicial Academy in Angamaly till12 pm for the public to pay homage. Later, the body will be taken to his residence in Thrissur for the funeral on Monday morning.
