Jose K Mani leads the 12-seat candidate list for Kerala Congress (M), featuring a strategic surprise in Chalakudy.

Kottayam: The Kerala Congress (M) has officially announced its candidates for the upcoming elections. The party revealed its nominees for the 12 constituencies it is set to contest. Party chairman and Rajya Sabha MP Jose K Mani will lead the charge from his home turf, Pala.
All five sitting MLAs of the party will defend their respective seats. Minister Roshy Augustine is seeking a fresh mandate from his current constituency, Idukki. In a notable move, former District Panchayat president Nirmala Jimmy has been fielded in Kaduthuruthy, while Mathew Kunnappally will contest from Irikkur.
The biggest surprise—or "twist"—came in Chalakudy, where Biju Chirayath, a municipal councillor who resigned from the Congress party earlier this morning, has been named the Kerala Congress (M) candidate.
