Thiruvananthapuram: In connection with E P Jayarajan continuing as the LDF convener, Opposition Leader V D Satheesan alleged that the CPM has compromised with communalism to hide corruption. Both the CPM and the Chief Minister are afraid to even touch Jayarajan, he alleged and added that M V Govindan has given a green signal for anyone wishing to join the BJP.
"The CPM and the Chief Minister are afraid to even touch E P Jayarajan. The Kerala CPM does not have the guts to raise a finger against E P Jayarajan, who spoke to the BJP as CM's agent. What E P Jayarajan has at the tip of his tongue is like a bomb that can destroy the CPM and the CM completely. That is why the CPM did not have the courage to take action against Jayarajan. In addition, what the CPM has done today gives approval for Jayarajan to join the BJP,“ said the Opposition Leader.
The CPM has compromised with communalism to protect those who have carried out corruption and received benefits from it. Not only E P Jayarajan, but the Chief Minister has also spoken to Prakash Javadekar several times. If action is taken against E P, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will also have to face it. To save both Vijayan and E P, the CPM has come up with this "shameless" option, said Satheesan.
"The CPM State committee should also clarify whether the Chief Minister spoke to Javadekar … M V Govindan, through this act, is giving a green signal to all the CPM leaders to meet BJP leaders. The State secretary has cleared the path for E P Jayarajan, S Rajendran and other leaders who wish to join the BJP," he said
Satheeshan also sough to know the stance of the LDF, including the CPI, in the wake of "the CPM announcing that it will protect those having friendly talks with the Sangh Parivar".
