Senior leaders, including A.K. Antony, V.M. Sudheeran, and PC Vishnunath, were present at the official function where the mistake happened.

Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: During the 140th founding day celebrations of the Indian National Congress, party workers sang the national anthem incorrectly in the state.
The incident took place at the KPCC headquarters in the state capital during the official celebration events.
Instead of singing the correct opening line, “Jana Gana Mana”, the workers sang “Jana Gana Mangala”. Despite the error, neither the leaders nor the party workers corrected it, and the anthem was completed in the wrong version.
Senior leaders, including A.K. Antony, V.M. Sudheeran, and PC Vishnunath, were present at the official function where the mistake happened.
Earlier, at another public event, the national anthem was sung incorrectly, drawing criticism, with senior leaders also present at that occasion.
