Mammootty launches `Talk to Mammookka`, a helpline to combat drug abuse in Kerala. Report anonymously, get help. Dial 62388 77369.

Kochi: The powerful voice that echoes, “Hello, this is Mammootty…” is set to become a familiar one across Kerala in the coming days. As part of a new initiative to combat the growing menace of drug abuse, Malayalam cinema icon Mammootty has launched a public awareness campaign titled ‘Talk to Mammookka’.
The initiative, spearheaded by Mammootty’s charitable foundation Care and Share International, provides a platform for citizens to report information related to drug use and trafficking through a simple phone call. The project is being implemented in collaboration with the Excise Department of Kerala and Kudumbashree Mission.
Callers can dial 62388 77369 to hear Mammootty’s personal voice message encouraging them to stand up against drugs. After the message, people can leave information regarding drug-related activities or abuse. The details are securely recorded and passed on to the Excise Department for immediate action. The identities of the callers will be kept strictly confidential.
In addition to reporting, the platform will also offer counselling and rehabilitation support for those affected by drug addiction. Partnering with hospitals across the state, the program ensures accessible help for those seeking treatment. Initially, Rajagiri Hospital in Aluva will provide free, full-time support through its social welfare division.
‘Talk to Mammookka’ is not just an awareness drive; it is a community-led fight against drug abuse, with one of Kerala’s most respected figures leading from the front.
