Thiruvananthapuram: Even as action is likely to be taken for his controversial remarks against senior IAS officer Dr A Jayathilak, IAS officer N Prasanth continued to target his rivals. In his latest post, Prasanth criticised not just Jayathilak, another IAS officer K Gopalakrishnan as well as Mathrubhumi for covering the news.

Prasanth alleged that Jayathilak had ruined the lives of many people and warned that more details would be revealed through his page. When someone asked in the comments what his response to Mercykutty Amma’s allegations was, Prasanth asked, “Who is that?”

“According to the rules for IAS officers, they should not criticise the government or its policies,” Prasanth said, adding that neither Mathrubhumi nor Jayathilak nor Gopalakrishnan comes under its purview. Prasanth also said not to teach him law as he has studied law for five years. He went on to write, “Some are threatening me, suggesting that I make peace with Dr Jayathilak, to avoid inviting trouble. They say that would be wise. But if I were to list out all the lives he has destroyed, I would feel no fear. My only stubborn wish now is to bring an end to this and secure justice for them.”

He also mentioned that certain people have advised him to remain silent to avoid bringing down the “value” of the civil services in public perception. “It is shameful that a group in civil services is engaged in creating fake reports, making files disappear, creating and deleting WhatsApp groups. But should such things be hidden? The same logic which is used to cover up serious crimes like paedophilia within prominent bureaucrats’ homes is being applied here. Why is there fear about information coming out? All details will appear on this page,” he said, maintaining his challenge even as action is expected against him.
