Palakkad: A human skull was found in a pond located at a quarry in Ramassery on Wednesday. The Kasaba Police arrived at the spot and initiated proceedings. 

The skull was found by people who were fishing at the pond the previous evening. The skull got trapped in dhotis used for fishing. The matter was soon brought to the attention of locals and panchayat authorities. 

Later, Kasaba police arrived at the spot and inspected the area. A scuba diving team would search the pond for any human remains.
