Vadakara: A human skull was discovered inside an abandoned shop in Kunhipally here on Friday. Workers demolishing a building for National Highway expansion discovered the skull. 

According to reports, the shop has been closed for the past year. The skull was discovered amid abandoned papers and plastic garbage. 

The skull is suspected to be at least six months old. The Chombala police arrived at the spot and initiated proceedings.
