Koorachundu: Abraham, who lost his life in a wild gaur attack in Kerala on Tuesday, survived a shattered wife, Teyyamma. The woman who is paralysed and soaked in tears, had only one thing to say to the Mathrubhumi team: "I hope this never happens to anyone." 

Abraham was the only physical and mental support for Teyyamma, who was diagnosed with this mobility disorder. While speaking to the team, she mentioned how once Abraham came across four or five gaurs who attempted to attack him. He had clambered up a nearby tree to escape certain death.

As always, he went to his farmland after preparing food for both of them. Recalling the day's incident, she said it was just a usual day for them when Abraham asked her if he should place the food near her. After their brief conversation, he took his lunch with him and went straight to his land. Though Teyyama was expecting him to return by afternoon, all she heard was the gruesome attack of the wild animal that took her husband’s life. 

The couple earlier lived near Mannanal Estate, where the attack happened. Eight months ago, they shifted to an old rented house in the town after she was paralysed. After receiving monetary support from the church, they bought this old house where they were currently residing, which is about 5 kilometers away from the agricultural land.
