Ettumanoor: MP Suresh Gopi lends a helping hand to a young woman with no money for her wedding. He gifted a wedding sari and Rs 1 lakh to the young woman in front of Ettumanoor Mahadeva Temple. He gave the amount to Aswathy Ashok, a homeless young woman who was living in a shed left behind by PWD near High School in Devikulam in Idukki.
Aswathy’s father Ashokan died 21 years ago. Her mother, Saraswathi, used to work as a sweeper in a resort, but it has been two years since she lost her job.
