Kochi: Kerala High Court has issued a stay on the suspension order served to two students of Pookode Veterinary College, Wayanad, in relation to a raging incident in the college premises.
Amaresh Bali and Ajith had approached the court challenging the decision of the anti-ragging committee of the college, which had suspended them for a year-old incident.
After Sidharthan's death at the Veterinary College, strict action was taken against a few students for an alleged ragging incident. Along with this, Amareesh and Ajith were suspended by the anti-ragging committee for an incident that happened in 2023.
The high court issued an interim order to halt further proceedings against the students. It also sought the report of the anti-ragging committee, and based on that, the final decision will be taken.
