Kottayam: The Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau (VACB) on Friday arrested a headmaster for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a teacher in Kottayam. The accused has been identified as Sam T John, headmaster at CNI LP School in Kottayam. He was arrested by vigilance officials around 9 am.
As per reports, Sam was nabbed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a teacher at another school after assuring her to provide her with a permanent placement at the school.
Apparently, he demanded the money to pay the Assistant Education Officer (AEO).
