Kochi: The Kerala High Court (HC) harshly criticised the chief secretary for failing to show up in court for the KSRTC pension case under the pretext of the Keraleeyam event. The court demanded that KSRTC pension be cleared by November 30 and stated that while the state celebrates, many others are going through difficulties.
On the other hand, the chief secretary, V. Venu said in court that the state is going through a severe financial crisis and cannot find funds even for daily functioning. Justice Devan Ramachandran refused to accept this saying that the dues must be paid and that if this is not done, the chief secretary should be ready to come back to court on November 30.
