Kondotty: The Kerala State Haj Committee has extended the deadline for filing documents and paying the initial installment for the Hajj pilgrimage. The selected applicants can now pay the first installment for the pilgrimage until April 15 and submit the necessary documents on or before April 18. Previously, the deadline for both was set for April 14.

Out of the total 10,331 applicants selected through the state haj committee, 9,826 have already submitted their documents, including the receipt of payment of Rs 81,800, passport, and medical report. It is mandatory to submit all the required documents, and failure to do so will result in rejection of the application.

The vacancies formed due to the rejection of applications will be filled by applicants on the waiting list.
