A woman in Kochi has died due to H1N1 infection while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Ernakulam.

Kochi: Kochi has reported a death linked to H1N1 infection, with a woman identified as Lalityambika, a resident of Palarivattom in Ernakulam, passing away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
She had been admitted for medical care after falling ill, and her condition worsened during treatment. Subsequent tests confirmed H1N1 infection.

In a separate incident, another death was reported from Kanjirappally in Kottayam district, where a young man died after suffering from a fever. He had been under treatment at a private hospital for several days before being shifted to a hospital in Kottayam for further care. H1N1 infection was confirmed during medical tests conducted while he was undergoing treatment. Further details on both cases are awaited from health authorities.
