Sultan Bathery: The KPCC camp executive held here pointed out that the party has lost the connections with the religious organisations and places of worship which it had enjoyed earlier.
Since party workers and leaders have been distanced from such organisations and places of worship, communal forces and non-believers have infiltrated into these organisations, causing serious damage to the party, the guidelines endorsed by the camp maintained. This has resulted in alienating common people from Congress. To overcome this, an urgent local level intervention should be made, camp executive suggested.

The leadership has given so many suggestions to the lower-level committees regarding the retrieval of trust of the people through systematic and committed organisational activities. The grassroot level workers have been asked to collect details of office bearers of libraries, charity organisations, kudumbasree units, whatsapp groups and family groups active in social activities.
The workers assigned with this task should complete it before August 15 and submit a report to KPCC. Block committees have been asked to conduct social service by registering charity organisations.

Acconding to the guidelines, each leader should find time to spend at least one day in every month, in their wards. This would be seriously reviewed while conducting the performance audit which would be conducted to assess the performance of leaders at all levels of the party. Those leaders who are in charge of districts are being asked to travel widely across the districts concerned for 15 days to coordinate the party activities.

As part of the preparation in connection with the local body elections scheduled to be held next year, election training would be given to leaders and workers from KPCC to booth levels. For this, camps should be conducted at DCC, block and  panchayat levels. To ensure enough funds needed for the election campaign, the fund collection should be organised well in advance. Leaders in charge of fund collection should ensure that the amount collected would be used only for election related activities.

Apart from the state and national level agitations, all other agitations have to be conducted focusing at local and block levels. In October, foot marches would be organised highlighting the problems faced by the people. At local levels, committees should conduct local development seminars. At state level, a ‘maha panchayat’ would be organised under the auspices of KPCC.
