Palakkad: Spectators broke into a fight during a turf football tournament here. The incident happened during the football match held in Koonamoochi in Kappur on Monday night. The visuals of the fight have also come out.

The clash broke out between the supporters of two teams competing in the match after the referee did not call a foul during the match. First, the players got into a fight. Following this, the supporters of both teams engaged in a group fight. The fight lasted for almost half an hour.

Although the police arrived at the scene after getting the information, no case was registered as the turf manager and others didn't raise any complaints. Although Section 144 has been imposed in Palakkad district, the police said that there was no ban on the turf football tournament.
