Grieving parents arrive in Kerala to claim the body of 26-year-old Delhi model Divyanshu Joshi, who tragically drowned during a fashion shoot in Perumbavoor.

Perumbavoor (Kerala): The heartbroken parents of 26-year-old Delhi model Divyanshu Joshi have arrived in Kerala following their son’s tragic death. They are currently at the Perumbavoor Government Taluk Hospital to complete the necessary formalities before taking his body back home to Delhi for the final rites.
Joshi, the son of Karan Chandra Joshi from South Delhi, lost his life on Thursday afternoon at the Pettamala stone quarry in Mudakkuzha Panchayat, near Kuruppampady. He had travelled to Kerala as part of a 15-member crew for a commercial advertising shoot representing a clothing brand.
According to reports, Joshi and two friends were the first of the group to reach the scenic location. The tragedy occurred when he stepped into the quarry to check the water, immediately losing his footing and slipping into the deep reservoir.
Following a desperate call for help from his friends, a Fire and Rescue Services team rushed to the scene. Divers managed to locate and recover Joshi from a depth of roughly 30 feet in the quarry, which is estimated to be over 100 feet deep. He was rushed to the nearby Taluk Hospital, but despite all efforts, he could not be revived.
The hospital authorities are working with the family to expedite the remaining procedures so that his parents can bring him home as quickly as possible.
