The attackers allegedly dragged Athul out of his car on a busy road before hacking him to death.

Kollam: A goon leader who had recently come out on bail was hacked to death in Karunagappally on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Aluva Athul, the prime accused in the murder case of Gym Santosh.
A group that arrived in a car carried out the attack on Athul in Karunagappally. Police suspect that the murder was the result of prior enmity. CCTV visuals of the incident have also surfaced.
The attackers allegedly dragged Athul out of his car on a busy road before hacking him to death. The assailants, who arrived in an Innova car, reportedly rammed the car Athul was travelling in. Following this, Athul’s car lost control and fell into a pit dug for National Highway construction and attacked him with machetes.
Athul was reportedly the main accused in several criminal cases. Police have begun an investigation into the incident.
