Supplyco coconut oil now available at ₹339 — with another price cut expected by September 1, consumers can expect even more savings.

Kottayam: Supplyco will once again reduce the price of its Sabari brand coconut oil on September 1. In discussions held with oil agencies and Food and Civil Supplies Minister G R Anil, a prior understanding had been reached to reduce the price in proportion to the market rate of copra.
In the first phase, the price was brought down from ₹389 to ₹349. It was later reduced again to ₹339. A final price revision will be made after analysing the market before September 1.
The Kerafed 'Kera' brand, originally priced at ₹529, is now sold via Supplyco for ₹457, following a mutual agreement between the Ministers of Agriculture and Food. The Sunday offer price of ₹445 proved beneficial to Supplyco, with single-day revenue exceeding ₹10 crore. Currently, there is a stock of 30 lakh litres of coconut oil. The price of the Kera brand will also be reduced once again.
Fair Price Vans to be deployed
As part of market intervention, Supplyco will operate mobile fair price vans across 140 legislative assembly constituencies. These vans will carry both 13 subsidised items and non-subsidised goods.
Those unable to visit Supplyco outlets can purchase subsidised items by showing their ration card at the vans. The parking points of these vans will be finalised in consultation with MLAs.
As part of the Onam season, these vans will also stock Supplyco’s Onam special rice, priced at ₹25 per kg, with a maximum of 20 kg per household. This rice will also be available at Supplyco outlets upon showing a ration card.
In addition, customers will be allowed to purchase both August and September quotas of subsidised items together in light of the Onam festival.
