Thiruvananthapuram: Though they were shocked initially, the CPM and LDF are all set to confront the recent allegations and controversies. CPM secretariat issued a statement listing the intention of the conspirators who want the CPM to be accused in the gold smuggling case.
After the state government showed willingness to cooperate with the probe, CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran said that there is no issue as the investigation is entrusted with a national agency. CPM was relieved to know his stand as CPI and CPM were having a spat over the Jose K Mani issue.
LDF convener A Vijayaraghavan also said that a political war will take place in the coming days. Both CPM and LDF will pay attention not to divert the case from gold smuggling and financial scams. The government's explanation will be concluded and they will keep maintaining the image by improving disease resistance and public welfare activities.
