Kozhikode: Passengers aboard the Garib Rath Express, operating from Lokmanya Tilak to Kochuveli, staged a protest on Tuesday after the fans and air conditioners malfunctioned inside the train. Furthermore, there was inadequate water supply in the restrooms.

Passengers started experiencing difficulties as the train commenced its journey from Lokmanya Tilak. They notified the railway authorities, who assured them that the issue would be resolved upon reaching Mangalore. However, even after arriving in Mangalore, the issue remained unresolved.

Elderly people and passengers travelling with kids suffered severely due to the irresponsible attitude of the railway authorities. They even went on to stage protests on the platform. The railway authorities tried to persuade them to continue their journey.

When the train arrived in Kozhikode, hundreds of passengers gathered on the platform to stage a protest. Though this protest compelled the railway authorities to check the AC and fans in the train, the journey resumed without resolving the issue.
