Thiruvananthapuram: It is suspected that certain officials of the Education Department and some school managements have joined hands to manipulate the proceedings to protect the posts of teachers by illegally transferring the Aadhar details of many students to aided schools. Since the details of around 3500 students have come under the cloud of suspicion, Education department has launched a detailed investigation regarding the foul play as the anomaly has come to light during the inspection of data on the sixth working day, June 10. 

During the inspection it has been found that the Aadhar details of students studying in government schools were illegally transferred to aided schools. Officials of education departments could transfer the Aadhar details of students through Sampoorna portal without the consent of the schools concerned when students studying in unrecognised schools face difficulties to get TC to join in government and aided schools. Many unaided schools have not recorded the Aadhar details of students. To manage the number to protect the teaching posts, officials also have transferred the details of such students to government and aided schools. 

Though it is mandatory to record the Aadhar details of students through Sampoorna portal only, officials have played foul by delaying the proceedings and manipulating the details to help the schools. Education minister V Sivankutty has asked officials concerned to complete the process of post fixation. 

According to the education policy of the state government, only students who possess Aadhar cards should be considered for post fixation of teachers. 

Meanwhile, it is also said that, 2965 Aadhar cards of students have got cancelled due to the submission of wrong details as their names and other details were changed to suit the foul play. The hearing in connection with this started on Friday and it would continue on Saturday and Monday.
