New Delhi: Former Kerala Governor T N Chaturvedi (90) passed away here on Sunday night at a hospital in Noida where he was undergoing treatment.
Chaturvedi was an IAS officer and between 1984 and 1989 he served as Comptroller and Auditor General. He had also served as Karnataka Governor from 2002 to 2007. Following the death of Sikander Bakht he had served as Governor of Kerala from February 25, 2004 till June 2004.
Vice president Venkaiah Naidu condoled the death of Chaturvedi.
He was honoured with the Padma Vibhushan in 1991. After resigning from the Governor’s post, Chaturvedi stayed in Noida and presently holds the chairman’s post at the Indian Institute of Public Administration in Delhi.
