Thiruvananthapuram: Former Akashvani news anchor M. Ramachandran passed away at his residence in Thiruvananthapuram.

A familiar name to many Malayalis, Ramachandran became well-known through the program "Kauthuka Varthakal."

He joined Akashvani while serving as an officer in the Electricity Board and was recognized as a pioneer in radio news reporting.
