Kochi: Former SFI leader and PhD scholar K Vidya, accused of forging documents to secure a guest lecturer post, has approached the Kerala High Court seeking anticipatory bail. She is known to have approached the court a couple of days ago.
In her bail petition, Vidya reportedly claimed her innocence and denied any wrongdoing. The plea highlighted that she has been targeted for political motives. She also assured all her cooperation in the probe.
Meanwhile, the state police continued their search for Vidya on Sunday as well. A team of police had conducted a search at Vidya’s house in Thrikarripur.
As Vidya remains in hiding, KSU state president Aloysius Xavier alleged that “SFI-CPM leadership in the state are protecting her.”
