Thrissur: A video capturing the daring act of a man capturing a King Cobra, risking his life, has been making the rounds on the internet. The incident unfolded at Echippara in Thrissur, with forest officials present at the scene.

In the footage, the snake can be seen making continuous attempts to attack those in its vicinity. Locals criticised the forest officials for entrusting the task of capturing the snake to individuals with relatively limited experience. Surprisingly, the responsibility fell upon a temporary watcher and a local resident.

The individuals featured in the video include forest beat officer K B Jayan, temporary watcher Aneesh, and a local named Velayudhan.

In response to the allegations, the forest department clarified that they had to urgently enlist individuals due to time constraints. They asserted that those chosen for the task had some level of experience in handling such situations.
