Thiruvananthapuram: The restrictions imposed on the working time of ration stores in the state were withdrawn. 

Minister G R Anil informed that ration shops will be open from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm in the forenoon and 3 pm to 6.30 pm in the afternoon from January 27 across the state. 

The minister convened a meeting of the higher officials in Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs department and technical experts. The meeting inferred that the technology used to regulate the distribution of ration is efficient.
