Thiruvananthapuram: A concerning discovery was made on Wednesday morning at the Kulathur market near Kazhakkoottam in Thiruvananthapuram as traders found five country bombs hidden in plastic covers within the market premises.

Upon this alarming find, the traders promptly alerted the authorities. The Kazhakoottam Police, along with the Bomb Disposal Squad, swiftly responded to the scene. The bombs were safely transported to the Kazhakoottam police station, where they were subsequently defused.

In an effort to identify the individual or group responsible for planting the bombs, police have commenced a thorough investigation, including a review of CCTV footage from the market and surrounding areas.

It is important to note that Kulathur Junction has been a hotspot for political and violent clashes in the past, adding an element of urgency and concern to this incident.
